Opening Sequneces

The main-title sequence or the opening credits of a film are sometimes considered the most important piece in a film. When the lights go down in a cinema the opening credits of a film are the 1st images the audience see. It is crucial that the opening title gets the audience interested in the film and hooked right from the start. As this is the time when the audience make their decision weather they want to continue watching the film or not. The earliest credit sequences were for silent films. These were on title cards and containing printed material that were photographed and later put into the film. These cards also included the dialogue and set the time, place and action for the scenes. As the movie industry began to evolve, so did the titles. After the implementation of sound, titles began to function as a transition: They then began to show the film title, the name of the director and the list of actors within the film. Since then, the creation of film titles have changed dramatically. Over recent years technology has improved dramatically, desktop computers advance at a rapid pace, therefore companies have been able to create updated visually motion graphics.
